Changing your dial-up phone number

Windows 98, 95 or ME

Windows ME only

    Go to the Start button and then Settings, then Control Panel.  Double-click the Dial-Up Networking folder.

Windows 98 or 95

    Double-click on My Computer, then double-click the Dial-Up Networking folder.

    Right-click on the Cactus TurboNet icon and pick Properties from the menu.  (Some people called this icon something else, such as "My Connection,  "Connection to 882-8768" or just "TurboNet".)  Change the phone number to the new number  in the Phone number box, then click OK.   

Local usernames also change.  If it was "myname", then it becomes "myname@turbonet.com".
