Renewing a secure certificate

1. You'll get an email from Thawte with a code and a link.  Save it.
2. Go to the web server.  Each secure site must have a separate IP address.  Find or create a site.
3. Make a directory in the site called "cert".
4. Remove read and execute permissions from this directory.
5. In the Internet service manager, open the web site, properties, directory security.
6. Choose the secure certificate button and follow the bouncing ball.  Pick all the defaults, except that you have to tell it the correct directory.
7. Open Notepad to that directory and open the file.
8. Go to Thawte's site and follow its instructions.  You'll need the code and the password is the car doors.  Paste the text of the certificate request into the indicated box.
9. To actually install the certificate once Thawte returns it, you put the certificate (the one they send you) in the directory.  Go back to the Internet Information manager and the wizard will allow you to install the certificate.
