  1. run Telnet
  2. go to 204.188.48.223
  3. login:  tony@local
  4. pink password
  5. enable
  6. pink password
  7. configure
  8. context turbonet (or guardian)
  9. subscriber name Last_First
  10. ip address xxx.xxx.xxx.xx
  11. ip address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
  12. exit
  13. exit
  14. context local
  15. port ds1 3/1 (where 1 is the port number)
  16. frame-relay pvc xxx profile FR_PROFILE_1 enc bridge1490
  17. bind subscriber Last_First@turbonet (or guardian)
  18. end
  19. save config /flash/redback.cfg
  20. exit

ADSL redback configuration - interface

  1. run Telnet
  2. go to 204.188.48.223
  3. login:  tony@local
  4. pink password
  5. enable
  6. pink password
  7. configure
  8. context turbonet (or guardian)
  9. interface Last_First
  10. ip address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 255.255.255.252
  11. ip arp arpa
  12. exit
  13. exit
  14. context local
  15. port ds1 3/1 (where 1 is the port number)
  16. frame-relay pvc xxx profile FR_PROFILE_1 enc bridge1490
  17. bind interface Last_First turbonet (or guardian)
  18. end
  19. save config /flash/redback.cfg
  20. exit

Removing a subscriber

  1. run Telnet
  2. go to 204.188.48.223
  3. login:  tony@local
  4. pink password
  5. enable
  6. pink password
  7. configure
  8. context turbonet (or guardian)
  9. no subscriber name Last_First
  10. exit
  11. context local
  12. port ds1 3/1 (where 1 is the port number)
  13. no frame-relay pvc xxx 
  14. end
  15. save config /flash/redback.cfg
  16. exit

Removing an interface

  1. run Telnet
  2. go to 204.188.48.223
  3. login:  tony@local
  4. pink password
  5. enable
  6. pink password
  7. configure
  8. context turbonet (or guardian)
  9. no interface Last_First
  10. exit
  11. context local
  12. port ds1 3/1 (where 1 is the port number)
  13. no frame-relay pvc xxx 
  14. end
  15. save config /flash/redback.cfg
  16. exit

Saving the confiuration file so it can be searched

  1. run Telnet
  2. go to 204.188.48.223
  3. login:  tony@local
  4. pink password
  5. enable
  6. save config tftp://207.13.199.34/redback_081800.doc where 081800 is the date.
  7. end

Checking the saved configuration file

  1. In Windows Explorer,
  2. go to Receiving/Ascend
  3. find the most recent file.
  4. double-click it to run Word with that file.
  5. Search it.
