Turning on debug logging in the mail server

  1. On Cypher, run the Merak program
  2. Go to Options (on the left), then logging
  3. Set SMTP (or POP) logging to Debug and Summary
  4. Apply
  5. Go to the Server Monitor (on the left)
  6. Session History
  7. Set the History filter to the customer's IP address.
  8. Wait.  There's a 64K buffer that has to dump before you get the information.
  9. Right-click on the pertinent line and View Session.
  10. Go back to Options, and set logging back to Summary.
