2.4 GHz wireless service is a shared-bandwidth service. Cactus does not cap your bandwidth on this service, but the 2.4 GHz wireless protocols impose some of their own limitations. In theory, you could download as fast as 6 Mbps but in reality it depends on the quality of your connection to the access point, the number of people using the access point at the same moment and the amount of interference from other 2.4 GHz radios at your location (and the backhaul capacity at some remote locations).

Cactus does not require a term contract for this service. An installation fee may be required as described below.
* "Laptop" refers to the customer's wireless equipment for connecting to our access point, most commonly a Laptop computer but other devices are acceptable. A Laptop radio should be no more than one block from the access point and Cactus can help you assess the quality of your connection.
** A $50.00 installation fee is required for all outdoor radios, which usually remain the property of Cactus International, Inc. The installation includes antenna, wireless radio, cabling (up to 100 ft), POE adaptor, power supply, mounting equipment and professional installation. The installation of computers and other hardware is not included and may be charged extra.
